Melissa Tonn, MD, of Dallas, Texas, serves as President and Chief Medical Officer of OccMD Group P.A. OccMD serves employers who have opted out of the workers compensation system, providing nurse case management services. In addition to her commitments at OccMD Group, Melissa Tonn, MD, has a clinical practice in Dallas and regularly evaluates patients in both Houston and Fort Worth. She has earned a full certification in pain management, and is also a board certified Occupational Medicine Physician. Dr. Melissa Tonn earned her Bachelor of Arts at Rice University, with concentrations in business administration and biology, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management and Finance. Dr. Tonn went on to attain her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and served a residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

In addition to her position with OccMD Group, Melissa Tonn, MD, provides medical consultant services for Arkema, Inc. and Total Petrochemicals. Prior to 2000, Dr. Melissa Tonn led as Medical Director at Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., as well as Texas Health Resources Inc., Presbyterian Healthcare System, and the systems Occupational Health Services division. Melissa Tonn, MD, has additionally performed in Consultant or Medical Director capacities at such companies at Marriott International, Inc.; Levi Strauss & Co.; The M.W. Kellogg Company, now known as KBR, Inc.; Lyondell-CITGO Refining Co., Ltd.; Crown Central LLC; Solutia Inc.; and National Convenience Stores Inc.

Along with medical experience across several disciplines, Melissa Tonn, MD, has held numerous teaching appointments in The University of Texas system, including the School of Public Health in Houston, the Department of Occupational Medicine in Tyler, and the Department of Family Practice in Houston. Melissa Tonn, MD, holds numerous memberships and fellowships, including the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians.
